The Executive Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council, Pastor Yakubu Izang Ezekiel has reiterated his administration's resolved to partner with spirited Organizations that are ready to impact positively to plights of it's citizens.
The Council boss made this remark while receiving officials from the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission ( HYPPADEC), he applauded the contribution of HYPPADEC towards complimenting efforts of State and Local Governments in a bit to address developmental challenges saying that Areas that Jos East Local Government provided social amenities have witness trenmendious growth and accelerated improvement in economic activities and job provision to the unemployed Youths of the Locality, he emphasized that any intervention that the Local Government may get from the Commission will help towards creating more Job opportunities and reduce rural uban migration.The Chairman later took the delegation to Shere Dinnyi, Naton- Fusa- Maijuju for their possible intervention in the provision of electricity. The Chairman took the visitors to the Palaces of the District Head of Shere and Fursum, who all appreciated the development.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation from HYPPADEC, Abubakar Salisu Tanko said their were at the Local Government for assessment of some communities which includes Shere Dinnyi, Naton- Fusa to enable the Commission intervant towards providing transformers to the three communities. He said HYPPADEC's manifest role is to design programmes that will ameliorate the hardship of all the Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas which six states are beneficiaries with Plateau State inclusive. He said it came to notice of Federal Government that most of this communities Hydroelectric powers are generated are not connected to the National grit and these among others informed the idea of the Federal Government to create the Commission to look in that the challenges that such communities are poise with as well as take care of other developmental needs of the areas.
Similarly, the Chairman paid a condolence visit to the family of Afan Isha in Nitsen Village of Fursum District to commiserated with the family over the demised of Akabi Atang who died at the age 104 years.
In the same vain, the Chairman undertook an assessment of the progress of work for the on going road project from Shen Dam - Fusa- Maijuju.
