COUNCIL BOSS APPLAUDES WHEAT FARMERS ASSOCIATION / MEETS CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (JOS EAST) / EMPATHIZES WITH MONARCH
The Executive Chairman of Jos East LGA Plateau State Hon Pst Yakubu Izang Ezekiel and council members withness first wheat (Alkama) harvest at Fadan Dabo of Jos East LGA.
Speaking at the event, the farmer said this variety of seed cultivated on a 1.2 hectares of expanse of land is the best of its kind because of its high yield and can be cultivated bi-annually.
The Council Chairman promises to purchase more seeds and distribute to the farmers as this will generate more revenue, boost economic activity and provide employment in the area.
He was accompanied by the State Deputy Chairman of the Wheat Farmers Association, Plateau State Hon. Yusuf D. Izam, Supervisory Councillor on Agriculture and others council members.
The entourage later proceeded to St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Angware for a meeting and awareness with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) towards the forthcoming general elections.
The CAN Chairman Jos East, Rev. Fr. James Kantoma welcomed The Chairman and his team and appreciated them for coming at such a critical time.
Furthermore, the Council Chairman assured CAN of a good working synergy and appreciates the organization for their earnest prayers, advices and contributions towards the success of his administration.
Present at the meeting were the Deputy Council Chairman, Council Secretary, Supervisory Councillors, Chairman APC Stakeholder's Forum, Amb. Ibrahim Pada Kasai, APC Party Chairman Jos East, Hon. Gideon Nyako, RT. Hon. Joshua Madaki, Party officials and other stakeholders.
He concluded his visit at Palace of the District Head of Maigemu to greet him over the tragic kidnapping incident that occurred with him and two others. He appreciates God for the safe release of the two who had spent five days in kidnapper's nest.
