The Executive Council members of Jos East Local Government, led by Hon. Pst. Yakubu Izang Ezekiel, the Executive Chairman alongside Top Officials of the Works Department toured round to check the level of execution of projects by his administration.
The tour started with a visit to the Palace of HRH Rev. Dr. Isaac Azi Wakili (Amb-P), the Abgang Agwom Izere of Izere Nation, to seek his royal blessings. While at the Palace, the Executive Chairman also welcomed the entourage of Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN), led by its President, who were at the Palace on an Introductory visit to HRH.
From the Palace the Council proceeded to Gwisti Bridge at Maza Road of Shere District. The Executive Chairman, flanked by the Director of works Jos East LGA, expressed his satisfaction with the level of work, and commented the contractors on the quality and standard of work done so far. The council Boss also assured the people of Gwisti that in no distant time, the bridge will be commissioned for use.
The team moved ahead to Shen-Fusa-Maijuju-Maijuju road to check the level of the on-going project. On arrival at the site, the Team was led round by the Contractor of the project pointing out some challenges that were being experienced and offering suggestions on what need to be done.
At the end, the Director of Works appreciated the standard of the project as well as how the heavy equipment are beeing maintained. He further encouraged them to put more effort to ensure that the projects are delivered within the specified timeframe and without compromising standards.
