 Christian Youth In Politics initiative (CYPI) Meeting with PDP state chairman Hon Chris Adukuchili Hassan and his exco

Introduction by the PDP state Organizing secretary Hon Yakubu Chocho, who introduced all the PDP Exco present and also gave opportunity to the CYPI National Coordinator to introduce his delegation.

Mr. Sam Chris the CYPI chairman who lead the delegation introduced and spoke Unbehalf of the group. Mr Sam Chris introduced the association and it's objective to the state chairman and his exco stating that the church before now have seen politics as a taboo and a dirty game which has affected the Christian faith in political involvement and participation, it is therefore on that note that the organization stands to synergize with the political parties and all Christians youths to further encourage Christian political participation. 

Sam Chris also congratulate the PDP state party chairman on his victory at the party state Congress. He described the PDP state chairman as a man of his Word and integrity, one who stands out among other politicians, one which plateau people are proud of. He also commend Hon Chris Hassan for his outstanding leadership of uniting the party and by extension the state. He also noted that PDP has never lost election in Plateau State. 

On Jos/North Bassa house of Representatives bye-election the chairman plead with the party to afford Christian Youths in Politics Initiative the privilege to be observers in the election. 

Hon Yakubu Chocho in response before the state Chairman said he believe the Christian body will not be directed or left out in the forth coming election. 

The party state chairman Hon Chris Hassan in response first of all welcomed the CYPI and appreciate the high powered delegation for taking this initiative and pray that CYPI will continue to work hard to encourage the church to practically and actively get involved in politics, stating that God Himself choosed leaders for his people Isreal and even the early church in the past did same hence being in politics is a worthy venture. He encouraged Christian Youths not to betray the faith but rather preach morality and good living peace with one another. 

He added that what is happening in APC is a clear picture that parties are built on ideologies and it is sad that as Plateau we are not carried along. Is it possible for Plateau Youth to stand for Plateau like the people in Anambra did? He challenge CYPI about it's interest as far as Plateau is concerned and noted that if Christian youths think like they way he thinks Christian Youths in plateau will surely fight and stand never to be sold out in our land. 

He expressed readiness to partner with CYPI in pursuing it's objectives and said the party will test-run the commitment of CYPI with Bassa/Jos North by-election and hopes that Christian youths will stand there ground.

HON. (PASTOR) YAKUBU IZANG EZEKIEL ATTENDS THANKSGIVING MASS OF REV. (DR) DAVID AJANG BISHOP OF THE LAFIA DIOCESE 

The Executive Chairman of Jos East LGC Hon (Pastor) Yakubu Izang Ezekiel was at the thanksgiving Mass of Rev. (Dr) David Ajang the Catholic Bishop of the Lafia Diocese, organised in his honour by the St. Francis Afizere Catholic Association National body at the St. Michael's Catholic Church Nassarawa Gwom Jos, Plateau State.

The Thanksgiving mass had in attendance crams of dignitaries, which includes the Executive Governor's of Plateau and Nassarawa States, Agwom Izere of Izere-nation, Rev. (Dr.) Isaac Azi Wakili, JP. Adagwom Jos Izere among other guests. 

The governor of Plateau was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS) Prof Danladi Abok Atu and his Nassarawa State counterpart was represented by his Deputy, Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe.

In a homily, Bishop of Shendam Diocese Most Rev  Philip Dung, thank the people of Lafia for accepting bishop David Ajang even though he considered Ajang's appointment as Bishop of Lafia a gain to Lafia and Nassarawa State as a whole he then enjoined the congregation to learn to accept one another regardless of tribe or religion.

Speaking on behalf of the Governor of Plateau State, Prof Danladi Atu congratulated Bishop David Ajang and the entire Izere Nation as he shared in their joy, he then thanked the Government and people of Nassarawa State for accepting Bishop Ajang as one of their own, he prayed that God will raise another Bishop among the Congregation and Izere Nation to replace Bishop Ajang who he considered is on loan to Lafia as Plateau will always be his home. 

Bishop Ajang was ordained a Priest at our Lady of Fatima  Cathedral, Jos on the 3rd of December 1994 by the Most Rev. Dr Gabriel Gonsum Ganaka of blessed memory. He was appointed as the Bishop of the Lafia Diocese on the 31st of March 2021 by His Holiness Pope Francis. Bishop David Ajang is the first Catholic priest and Bishop from Izere extraction.

The Plateau state chairman of the Christian youths in politics initiative cypi has applauded the visionary leadership ability of the Deputy speaker plateau state house of assembly. 

In a statement yesterday in Jos,the chairman said "we need leaders like him,a leader who is detribalized,a leader who treats everyone equally without sentiment"

Examining some of his achievements as member,the chairman said

 " The Empowerment program that covers; water pump machines, Grinding machines, Air pump machines, Set of Barbing saloon equipment and conditional cash transfer to the youths cannot be done if the interest of his people are not in his heart. He added" The chairman added that only few member can do what this man has done and still doing.

 Apart from youths empowerment, he also distributed water pumping machines to farmers to encourage irrigation in kanam local Government,to me,this is a great achievement.

The ectricity extension in Dengi was an area no one should take for granted,a leader who knows what his people need and he does it is a leader indeed.

 Provision of drinking water to his people by sinking boreholes in 6 federal wards.

When going round in kanam,what I have seen as his achievements as are much. I therefore call on all cypi members in kanam to support him.

   On behalf of my self, my Excos, the esteemed members of the CYPI and the entire good people if Jos South Local Government of Plateau State. 

 I bring you solidarity greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

  As we all know, christians most especially the Youths have had so many cases of marginalization, Persecution, Oppression  and have also been bedeviled by so many Negativities that has retarded our growth as a unified Nation. Particularly the issue of politics. 

 It is on this note that the christian youths unanimously agreed to come up with this great initiative to device a  means of tackling and curbing those issues bedeviling our youths and the country as a Nation. And in the same way creating and advocating for the Youths involvement in politics of the country. 

    It is on this same regard that I want to present the Christian Youths in Politics Initiative (CYPI)  to the entire people of jos south local government and give them some insights about our initiative. 

CHRISTIAN YOUTHS IN POLITICS INITIATIVE (CYPI)

Christian youths in politics is a Non_ Governmental organization, Non partisan Christian youths political movement whose mission is to educate and sensitize the youths on the need to participate in political activities of their localities and the nation as a whole.

The Christian youths in politics want to pay attention particularly on

- challenging the youths on the importance of participation in hygienic politics. Free from political thuggery, ballot votes snatching, political violence and so on.

- Making sure that the 4 million,two hundred thousand population on the plateau, with the youths carrying 75 percent of the voting capacity are registered. We intend to synergize with inec to ensure they are registered.

- To combat voter apathy as the case is everywhere on the plateau. Youths are lackadaisical about voting as they believed their votes is always going to be upturned.

- Encouraging the female youths participation in politics. Extinguishing the notion that female youth in politics are marely prostitute/irresponsible

- To ensure that we find out about the various candidates, keep sentiment aside and go for what we term as credible candidate.

- To preach credibility rather than than party affiliations.

Christian youths in politics initiative is the only Registered Christian youths organization on the Plateau and in Nigeria, that is participating actively in politics, we have other Christian associations like CAN, Youth wing of CAN (YOWECAN), who do not participate active in politics.

We are saddened with the current propaganda on social media carrying the name Christian youths, we want to state categorically clear that our organization do not attack, government, individuals or groups and that we have never in any guess adopted any candidate for any political seat on the Plateau.

In light of the above we are calling on all Local government Excos and ward excos to desist from meeting political aspirants aside from those already attached to them.

Those Aspirants that will be adopted by Christian youths in politics initiative will be issue letter of adoption which they will consent before we will present them to the public officially in our office.

2022 is here, and the expectations are much, may all our new year resolutions fits into the ultimate purpose of God's plans in our life's.

2022 is an electioneering year let's not deviate from our objective, remember proverbs 28:28 People stay in hiding when the wicked come to power. But when they fall from power, the righteous will rule again.

Our national chairman will always say "when the righteous rule the people rejoice and when the wicked rule the people grumble."

Let's endeavour to remain focus not like the rulers of this generation. proverbs 29:12 If a ruler pays attention to false information, all his officials will be liars.

We shall continue to to screen all political aspirants in our various states, through fasting, prayers, and follow up on there manifesto to ensure there credibility to service.

This 2022, I pray the Lord open our doors of success, divine promotions, employments, promotions, appointments and above all May we fit into the perfect plans of God 🙏.

1. If we make a mistake in this selection,we will cry for another five years,therefore,we should open our eyes on who to vote into that office.

2. We most start the sensitization crusades in Earnest,from the unit,to the wards and to the local government,let's decides who become our leader,lets, make the decision ourselves else someone else will make that decision for us and there is nothing we can do. May we look away from tribe,denomination,political party is important but not as important as the credibility of the candidate,may we be more concern about the candidate than his party affiliations.
